Redpath Windbreak knitted & woven
Research has shown that wind protection can improve the yield and quality of many crops. Windbreak is typically used as a shelter for plants, trees, animals, and buildings.
A commercial grade monofilament yarn is UV stabilised and extruded in house and then converted into the various textile grades.
Three wind densities are supplied
"VL" = Very Light to Light wind protection
"L" = Light to Medium wind protection
"M" = Medium to Heavy wind protection
The "VL" product is a combined knitted and woven windbreak textile, and is available in widths of .91m, 1.83m and 3.66m. All of the VL Roll lengths are 50 meters as standard however cut lengths can also be purchased (see below)
The "L" product is a full knitted windbreak textile, and is available in two widths 1.83m, and 3.66m. Two colours are offered with both green and white options. Roll lengths are 50 meters as standard but "cut lengths" of this grade may also be ordered.
The "M" product is a full knitted windbreak textile, and is available in two widths 1.83m, and 3.66m. It is offered in green colour only. Roll lengths are 50 meters as standard. No cut lengths on this product.
Redpath Windbreak clips
The Redpath wind clips are a simple way to secure shadecloth to a wire or cable; they are supplied in packs of 50 or a more efficient 200 or 2000. Typically you would use approximately three clips per meter of edge cloth. For commercial windbreaks Redpath offer a sewing service for hems or pockets along the edge of the cloth and can include a draw chord. Contact us to discuss.
